Originally a group of Swedish printers called SLT, our brand evolved into one of the most dynamic companies in Sweden before focussing on its core skill. In North America, Esselte is a group of quality innovative brands focused on today's workers.
Begin completely removing the plaid patterned plastic shell. To accomplish this, from the “insert item” side, place finger in the slot in a manner that hooks the upper lip of the plastic cover and pull it away from the unit.
NOTE: additional effort will be needed to pull the cover away from the side slots on the inside of the unit.
NOTE: the cut bar may come off with the plaid cover and this is ok.
To remove the cut bar, squeeze together the top and bottom of the clear plastic of the cut bar, then pull toward you and away from the unit. Please use caution when handling the cut bar as it has sharp teeth.
To separate the remaining components, grasp each plastic end cap of the unit, one in each hand. Twist each end in opposite directions several times. This will start to loosen the end cap pieces from the paper tubes.
Once the pieces have been loosened, the unit should come apart. You may hear a pop as the pieces break away from each other.
NOTE: Sometimes excess glue from the manufacturing process will keep these pieces from separating. We have since made adjustments to manufacturing to eliminate this issue. However if you do experience this issue, the unit will have to be disposed of as is.
