Laminate Pumpkin
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by tracing the template onto your orange papers. I traced onto the back side of the paper using a pencil and the template, then cut all of the pieces out with my scissors. You could choose to upload the template into Create and Cut Plus and cut the pieces out using the Wishblade.
- Run all the pieces through the Xyron 9" Creative Station using the double sided laminate cartridge, then use the template and a paper piercer to punch holes along the sides of each piece for stitching.
- Sew each side together using the needle and green embroidery floss. Once the pieces are sewn together you will have to adjust the sides so they take on the shape of a pumpkin.
- Use a scrap of the orange paper to cut out a pentagon that is larger than the opening in the bottom of the pumpkin. This is easy to do in Create and Cut Plus for the Wishblade.
- Laminate this piece and a strip of green to be used for the handle with the Xyron 9" Creative Station using the double sided laminate cartridge. To attach the bottom: pierce two holes in each corner of the pentagon, one about ½” in and the other about 1” in from the tip. Sew through these holes and through the seams in the pumpkin to tack them together on the inside about 1-1 ½” up from the bottom of the pumpkin.
- To attach the handle, punch holes through the handle and the pumpkin. I punched two lines of holes, then stitched the pieces together using stitches in “x” shapes.
- The little green curls near the handle were made with thin scraps of green paper. I wrapped these around a pencil to give them the shape, then folded one end of the strip over on itself to reinforce it, before I attached them to the pumpkin using a knotted stitch.
- Support the bottom while handling the pumpkin and be careful to not overfill it with goodies!

Fall Menu
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by drawing your scalloped circle using the Create and Cut program for the Wishblade.
- Create a new polygon. In Design Central, select the polyygon tab and increase the number of sides to 17, you will see a circle click hold and pull to give the side a curvature. when you have the desired length you will notice a second circle a bit outside of the shape, use that to adjust to the desired curve effect.
- Copy and paste to fit many on a page, repeat until you have the number of menus needed. Cut out on your Wishblade using the metallic paper.
- In your word processing program, type up your menu. You may want to choose a more decorative font for the title and a simpler and easier to read font for the contents of the menu.
- Type the lines so that they will fit well into the circle shape, and be sure that the size of your menu is smaller than your scalloped circle. Print them out on a practice paper until you’re sure that you like the way they look, then print them out on the cream cardstock.
- Use your circle cutter to cut the menus out of your cardstock, then trace around the edges of each cream circle with the gold pen.
- Attach your cardstock menus to the scalloped circles using the Xyron 2" Adhesive Runner.
