Double Hanging Plaque
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Paint edges of the wooden plaques and allow to dry.
- Measure tops of the plaques and cut papers to fit.
- Cut the other papers and pictures to the desired sizes then use the sandpaper to rough up the edges of the papers and pictures, then ink the distressed edges.
- To join the plaques together and attach the ribbon that it will hang from, cut different lengths of ribbon. The ones I used to separate the plaques were about 6” long. I also cut 8 scraps of chipboard that were about 1” tall and as wide as the ribbon I used. I attached them to the ends of the ribbon using the Xyron 3/8”Adhesive Runner.
- Once all the ends of the ribbon that need to be attached to the plaques are wrapped around chipboard, use the staple gun to secure them to the boards. (Staple through the ribbon and chipboard to prevent the ribbon from tearing when you hang it).
- Attach the background paper to the board after running it through the Xyron 9" Creative Station.
- Use the Xyron 2”Adhesive Runner to attach the additional papers and pictures to the boards. Use the Xyron 3/8" Adhesive Runner to attach the embellishments.

Magnetic Calendar
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Use painters tape to block off all except for the bottom 6” of the metal sheet. Spray with primer and allow to dry. Paint over dried primer with the chalkboard paint and allow to dry.
- Use a word processing program to type out the month names and days for your calendar. Print on a test page first to test for size, then print them out onto solid or lightly patterned paper.
- Cut out the month names and mat with assorted papers. (This is a great way to use scraps!) Use the hole punch to cut the days into circle shapes. Ink the edges of the days, months and mats with the black ink. Run the month names through the Xyron 9" creative Stataion with the Permanent Adhesive cartridge, then attach them to the mats. I also made a decorative strip to divide the calendar from the chalkboard on my calendar. I attached a strip of decorative paper to a black mat using the Xyron 9" creative Station with permanent adhesive cartridge. The dividing lines between the days were just small strips of a black paper.
- Run all of the month names, days, decorative pieces, strips and special date shapes through the Xyron 9" creative Station with the Magnet/Laminate cartridge. Trim the edges of the small strips with pinking shears. Trim around the edges of all of the other pieces with scissors or a paper trimmer (you can use the trimmer found in your Xyron 9" Creative station).
- Use the drill to make two holes in the upper right and left hand corners of the metal sheet. The holes should be large enough to fit grommets. Set the grommets into the holes using a grommet setter.
- Use the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole in the decorative strip. To add the flower, run a brad through all layers and through the hole in the strip before splaying the brad on the wrong side of the strip. This way you can change the flower for different holidays or whenever you want a new color accent.
- Add the pieces to the calendar. Remove dates and replace with special shapes for holidays and birthdays. Extra months, dates and other pieces can be stored on the back side of the calendar.
- Hang the calendar from a piece of ribbon run through the grommets and tied in a bow.

Laminate Pumpkin
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by tracing the template onto your orange papers. I traced onto the back side of the paper using a pencil and the template, then cut all of the pieces out with my scissors. You could choose to upload the template into Create and Cut Plus and cut the pieces out using the Wishblade.
- Run all the pieces through the Xyron 9" Creative Station using the double sided laminate cartridge, then use the template and a paper piercer to punch holes along the sides of each piece for stitching.
- Sew each side together using the needle and green embroidery floss. Once the pieces are sewn together you will have to adjust the sides so they take on the shape of a pumpkin.
- Use a scrap of the orange paper to cut out a pentagon that is larger than the opening in the bottom of the pumpkin. This is easy to do in Create and Cut Plus for the Wishblade.
- Laminate this piece and a strip of green to be used for the handle with the Xyron 9" Creative Station using the double sided laminate cartridge. To attach the bottom: pierce two holes in each corner of the pentagon, one about ½” in and the other about 1” in from the tip. Sew through these holes and through the seams in the pumpkin to tack them together on the inside about 1-1 ½” up from the bottom of the pumpkin.
- To attach the handle, punch holes through the handle and the pumpkin. I punched two lines of holes, then stitched the pieces together using stitches in “x” shapes.
- The little green curls near the handle were made with thin scraps of green paper. I wrapped these around a pencil to give them the shape, then folded one end of the strip over on itself to reinforce it, before I attached them to the pumpkin using a knotted stitch.
- Support the bottom while handling the pumpkin and be careful to not overfill it with goodies!

- Adhere the large yellow printed paper rectangle to the bottom of the card as shown. Adhere the orange paper leaf with foam mounting tape to the bottom left corner.
