If you use Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, learning the Wishblade software will take about 15 minutes. If you are a person who uses your computer mainly for e-mail, learning how to use Wishblade will take about an hour.

Yes. The font or shape can be selected with your mouse. Clicking and dragging on the corner of the selection box lets you make your text/shape larger and smaller.
The design of the font for the letters or shape will determine how large or small you can make it. In general, you can cut letters and shapes ranging from 1/2 inch to 8 inches from an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper.
Yes, you can cut the true type fonts that are located in your Windows font folder. Because there are so many different styles of fonts, not all will be cutable. To cut fonts from your computer, you must click outline in the Cut Text Settings Dialog Box.
Most cardstock, vellum and printed papers can be cut using Wishblade. Bazzill can be cut using one oring when it is laminated to adhesive or using 2 orings on the cutting mat.
We recommend using pieces that ar at least 3 inches x 3 inches in size when using the cutting mat and 4 inches x 8.25 inches if you have laminated the scrap to adhesive. Wishblade lets you make the most of your paper scraps.
If the paper were placed into the cutter without something to hold the items that were cut out in place, the cut pieces would fall out and jam the cutter. Cutting paper without adhesive or the cutting mat can damage the Wishblade and blade set also.
No, but be very careful not to cut completely through the adhesive liner because this may damage the cutting strip, dull your cutting blade and potentially jam Wishblade during cutting.
We recommend using pieces that are at least 4 inches x 8.25 inches if they are laminated to adhesive.
Wishblade cuts based on the placement of images in relation to the "origin." The origin is always the lower left hand corner of your computer screen. If you are cutting in portrait (vertical), the lower left hand corner of your computer screen corresponds to the right leading edge of the paper - or the spot closest to the power button on your Wishblade. If you are cutting in landscape (horizontal), the lower left hand corner of your computer screen corresponds to the left leading edge of the paper - or the spot furthest from the power button.
Wishblade locates all images based on the orientation of your paper. The origin is near the power button when you are cutting in portrait and on the opposite side when you are cutting in landscape.
Wishblade makes a small cut in your paper to orient the blade in relation to the image it will be cutting.
For the typical scrapbooker the blade will last about 6 months. For stores and heavy users the blades typically last 2-4 months.
If the cutting strip is torn along the cutting line or you have trouble cutting small letters when using media with a liner, then it's time to replace the cutting strip. If you use a cutting mat, the blade doesn't come in contact with the cutting strip.
