Step 1 - Paint the wood bookends country blue and let dry.
Step 2 - Using tissue paper, dab white paint onto tissue and dab over blue-painted frame; let dry. Step 3 - Using the bookends as a template, cut patterned paper to cover three of the four sides of each bookend (not the bottom). Run all four strips through the Xyron 510 with Permanent Adhesive and adhere to bookends. Trim excess paper around curves of bookends as necessary. Step 4 – Using Personal Cutting Machine with the Junkitz Patternz, cut out four paisley shapes from limeade cardstock. Step 5 – Run each paisley shape through the Xyron 510 with Permanent Adhesive, making two with fronts sticky and two with backs sticky. Place foam pieces between two paisleys and press together to create a wider paisley shape. Step 6 – Run 4 small strips of scrap paper through the Xyron 150 with Permanent Adhesive and place half of two strips on back of paislies with the other half sticking to the side and bottom of bookend to set paisley shapes in place. Step 7 - Using the Design Runner with the Travel Disc and black ink, print the words’ Explore’ and ‘Discover’ onto parakeet cardstock. Cut out around words and ink edges with olive chalk ink. Step 8 – Run the sentiments through the Xyron 150 with Permanent Adhesive, adhere onto striped paper and cut around. Run through the Xyron 150 again, adhere to striped paper and cut around. Run sentiments through Xyron 150 one more time and adhere to front of paisley. Step 9 - Use a pen to draw in details onto paisley shapes. Step 10 - Run two buttons through the Xyron 510 and adhere to middle of fat end of paisley. |
