Step-by-Step Instructions
- Paint edges of the wooden plaques and allow to dry.
- Measure tops of the plaques and cut papers to fit.
- Cut the other papers and pictures to the desired sizes then use the sandpaper to rough up the edges of the papers and pictures, then ink the distressed edges.
- To join the plaques together and attach the ribbon that it will hang from, cut different lengths of ribbon. The ones I used to separate the plaques were about 6” long. I also cut 8 scraps of chipboard that were about 1” tall and as wide as the ribbon I used. I attached them to the ends of the ribbon using the Xyron 3/8”Adhesive Runner.
- Once all the ends of the ribbon that need to be attached to the plaques are wrapped around chipboard, use the staple gun to secure them to the boards. (Staple through the ribbon and chipboard to prevent the ribbon from tearing when you hang it).
- Attach the background paper to the board after running it through the Xyron 9" Creative Station.
- Use the Xyron 2”Adhesive Runner to attach the additional papers and pictures to the boards. Use the Xyron 3/8" Adhesive Runner to attach the embellishments.
- Tie a piece of twine around one of the boards for added embellishment. Complete the project by adding any other desired embellishments.
