Step 1 - Cut an 12" circle from the pink sheet of Basic Grey
paper. Find the center of the circle and then draw a straight line
from the center to one edge of the circle. Draw another line from
the center of the circle to the edge, creating a slice that is
about 1/4 of the entire circle. Cut this slice out of the circle.
Step 2 - Using a pencil, freehand sketch scallops going around the edge of the shape. Cut the scallops out. Then punch holes into each of the scallops using your hole punch. (See photo). Step 3 - Pull the two edges of the cirlce together to form a cone. Apply adhesive with the 3/8" runner to the place on the cone where the two edges overlap. Adhere both sides together. Step 4 - Depending on the size of your hat, cut a lenth of white ric rac, run it through the 510 and adhere it to the bottom of the hat. You can also adhere word strips as shown in the photo. Step 5 - Attach the flower to the top of the hat. The smaller flowers in the photo were cut from a sheet of Basic Grey and adhered using the 3/8" runner. |
