Can someone please tell me how to install the pink wishblade on a laptop running windows 7?
I have the wishblade v3.0 disc - which I know is not compatible so I haven't attempted to install this but I also have Create and Cut v1.0 which I thought was ok. I've installed this and it works fine but I keep getting the can't open port error. I know to change the port from GraphtecUSB to printer port USB 1 or whatever, but I am unable to do this AS I DON'T HAVE THE OPTION AVAILABLE.
The laptop does not recognise the wishblade, no matter what I do.
I have emailed cuttinghelp@Xyron.com several times but am not getting a reply and I am UNABLE TO USE THE TELEPHONE. Plus, I live in the United Kingdom (where the help is zero!!!) and even if I could telephone, I very much doubt I would from here to the States anyway.
I have never at any time had the "found new hardware" message although windows does say it is trying to install drivers but is unsuccessful.
I have been trying to install this for six months now and quite frankly Xyron is fast becoming a dirty word in my household!!!
Your problems could of all been easily answered by calling us at tech support. In fact the problems are not Wishblade problems - they are Windows issues - and we would have walked you through them.
Sounds like you are having a port conflict with Create and Cut - there is a very simple fix to this - you need to change the port in Production Manager. To change ports do the following:
This will solve your port issue.
Create and Cut is a stand alone program that does not require the installation of a driver. Once installed your Wishblade will work without installing a driver. Windows will prompt you to install the driver when you turn your Wishblade on - Since you DO NOT NEED A DRIVER - click on the error message and check the box that says "do not show this message for this device" and you will not longer get that erroneous message from Windows.
