Had to get a new computer. It is running Windows 7 and will NOT operate Wishblade????
Driver will not load!!!! Have heard that using Create and Cut software is an option. Where can I get the software? My Wishblade Serial Number is WB05110545.
I have a new laptop which has Windows Home Something which I presume is Windows 7.
I plugged the Xyron Wishblade in to one of the USB ports. Installed the original installation disc (drivers) then the Create and Cut Plus. This does not say that it will work with Windows 7. (Old disc has up to Vista).
After having read everbody's snags I held out little hope of this working!
I set up the Create and cut to got to a USB port on the laptop. I also had to set up the Production Manager to got to a USB port. After doing a trial print I sent to be cut (your production manager should open and you will need to make sure you have this set to USB port too (NOT GRAPTEC)
I clicked print - and it worked !!!
I am usually the one with snags in cart loads. I am staggered that I actually got this to work, especially after all the problems everyone has had. Hope this helps.
Just make sure you have BOTH the Creat and Cut and the Production Manager set to the USB port. I did use the graptec to begin with but it never worked. I am completely in shock now! But a happy camper!
I don't have any Create and Cut software. I have a very expensive machine, supplies, etc. that now will not work just because Xyron doesn't want to support it any longer??????
When you purchased the machine Windows Vista and Windows 7, as well as Create and Cut, had not yet launched. The box stated that it worked with Windows XP. The old Wishblade software still works great with Windows XP as advertised. However when you purchase a new operating system you often need to purchase compatible software.
Xyron made the decision not to update the Wishblade software for newer operating systems because the Create and Cut and Create and Cut Plus software does so much more than the old program AND it uses the your computer OS's generic postscript driver - so you no longer need to load drivers. So by purchasing it you are purchasing a completely new product that allows your Wishblade to do so much more.
Unfortunately we have to pay our developers to create the software for you. The Create and Cut and the newer Create and Cut Plus have been shipping with new Wishblades for at least 3 years. Watch the videos and read about all the great functions and I'm sure you will feel it is more than worth the price.

What do I need to buy to make it work with Windows 7?
I was able to get my old wishblade with Windows 7. Google it and on message boards they list the different software that will recogonize the drivers that work with wishblade.
For Windows 7 you need to use the Create and Cut Plus or Create and Cut 1.0 with Vista Updates. The original Wishblade software will not work with Windows 7 and we are no longer writing drivers for that software program.
If you have the earlier version of Create and Cut 1.0 you will need to install the Vista update which is located at:
