I have been using a Wishblade for about 9 months and not had any problems cutting simple shapes like letters. Lately I have downloaded some complex shapes from online and am all of a sudden finding that the wishblade is skipping small sections in the middle, almost like the paper is shifting or something. I watched to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. Any ideas on why this is?

There could be a problem with your file; depending on the type of file and who created it.  Some file formats will take a circle and instead of using 1 line use many small lines that when zoomed out appear to be a circle.

Please look at the following:

What is a Bad Cut File?

Wishblade has no problems cutting complex shapes, however, if these complex shapes are also made with unnecessary points you could experience some of these issues if the blade is being told to move in too many directions.

You should also check to make sure your the Blade Dial is in the 3 O'clock or 6 O'clock position. (depending on the material you are cutting.  Refer:

Blade Cap Guide: Which to use and When!

You may also need to change your Blade.  Are the simple shapes still cutting well?  The typical Blade will last 3-6 months depending on use.

You may also need a new carrier sheet.  After many uses the adhesive loses strength and the paper can shift.

Hope this helps!
