Hi, I just wanted to know if someone has developed a program yet for the Xyron Personal Cutting System so that I may make my own shapes? It's no secret that there's a USB port in the back, so for years many have
been waiting for this to be put into use. I know the Cricut cutter was also advertised as no-need-for-a-computer, but since then users have created a software for it so you CAN customize your own shapes.I don't have the money for a Wishblade, so should I just buy a Cricut which is half the price of the Wishblade.. but allows me to customize as well --- or is there a program for the XPCS that I overlooked? Thanks!

I do know that Design Studio for the Cricut uses SCAL and cuts in .svg. Don't know if this will work in yours. You might find a Yahoo group devoted to that subject and see if anyone has tried. It would be nice to see if I create something in inkscape, save as svg and send to my cricut if it will cut or destroy something in the software. I don't think I am willing to risk that.

Contrary to wide speculation, the USB port on the back of the PCS is only used to diagnose issues.  This is a discontinued product and there are no plans to introduce new products or services for this line.  We continue to support the consumables (mats and blades).
