I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit. I have installed both the Create and Cut software and the Wishblade software. Both pieces of software appear to be installed correctly and work fine. I've been unsuccessful in installing the printer driver.
The one of many errors I receive is...
[The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software drivers for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Window for x64-based systems.]
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated.
I have had this exact same problem although I don't think I have received that error message. I have still not been able to install the drivers and I have been trying since April or May. I am very frustrated and have not received ANY help from the Xyron people. They did answer my inquiry, but with info that was no use. If I did not have another machine running XP, I would have returned my Wishblade. Xyron assures me that the software is completely compatible with Vista, but I don't think they have a driver for the 64 bit OS.
The Wishblade software drivers, unfortunately, are not 64 bit Vista compatible so even though you can install the software, you will not be able to cut from that software.
Create & Cut doesn't actually install drivers. The "Found New Hardware Wizard" opens up every time the Wishblade is plugged in because the system has not found drivers automatically for it. Just click on the option to not install drivers for that device and that message will stop popping up. You will still be able to cut from Create & Cut because it "borrows" drivers from another device such as a printer.

Will there be updated drivers for the software for the Wishblade 2.2 version? If so when. If not, is here an alternative or work around if you have upgraded to 64 bit OS?
There will NOT be any more updated drivers for the Wishblade Advanced 2.2. Create and Cut Plus is fully Windows 64 bit compatible. I have the 32 bit Vista and I am still not able to install the driver for it. It acts like it is working and even tells me it was successful, but when I go into the output settings there is no plotter available and the cut icon is grayed out. When I click on "cut text" it says there is a data read error and then another error box that says the CompactFlash cannot be found.
There are no drivers or updates available for Wishblade Advanced software running Vista. If you have a blue Wishblade and you are running the Wishblade Advanced software you will not be able to cut while using Windows Vista. You need to upgrade to Create and Cut Plus or use an earlier Windows operating system.
This does not apply to the newer pink Wishblades.
I completely understand your feeling carrie640. My pink Xyron has sat on my desk for the last year and has not been used once. It's a complete waste of desk space and money from my pocket. I had hoped to have used the Xyron much more than this. It's very disappointing. I plan on upgrading my computer system to Windows 7 in hopes that the Xyron will work like it should.
Since you were so helpful as to tell Connie where she could purchase the software, could you please also tell me where, in Canada, I can purchase replacement blades and cutting mats?

I recently acquired a Pink Wishblade and I currently am running on Windows Vista 64 bit. Is this new software what I need to make this work. I have Create and Cut and also the original Wishblade 3.0 and I can not get either to work they come up but the icon for the cutter is grey. I tried numerous times to download the driver from your site and Graphtec site but had no luck. It is very frustrating. Can you please help me??? Does this mean that with the Create and Cut plus I will be able to run my cutter without any of the other older software?

The Pink Wishblade is compatible with Vista 64 using Create and Cut Plus Software. The other versions of the software you acquired with your Pink Wishblade are 3-4 years old and were made before Vista 64.
