Design Runner issue

HI.  I just purchased this and every time I print something with it, there is a black line on the top of the design; one continuous line, like it's apart of the design.  I have cleaned the ink head repeatedly and did the test by pressing the wrench button and the same line comes out but slightly darker than the rest of the black ink that comes out.  Help!!

Using the wrench tool should normally clean up the Design Runner's print head. It sounds like the ink cartridge is damaged.
