Hello, I just purchase the Xyron Design Runner and the Xyron Design Disc Maker. I have watched a couple of videos on YouTube to get the feel of the Runner. However, my runner does not start printing for 2.5 inches no matter where I start on the paper. Is this normal? Is it also normal for it to shut itself off after a very short time of not using? When you turn the Design Runner on, select your image, then when you are ready to print hold down the green button but do not began to slide the Design Runner until you see the letter "P" on the screen. Then continue holding the green button and slide the Design Runner and it should print after about 1/2 inch or where it is marked on the clear guide. It may vary slightly.
The Design Runner has an auto shut off feature to save battery life. It takes a lot of battery power to run the Design Runner and it is very important that you only use high quality new batteries. It is possible that if your Design Runner was on the retail shelf for a while that the battery may have weakened. Simply change to new batteries to solve this.
