I have a blue wishblade and use it with a dedicated laptop running xp. Every time I go to use the wishblade, it won't cut correctly. In the past I've had to reload the software but this is getting ridiculous. Any ideas why this is continually happening?
Loading the software multiple times especially one over the other will cause the driver to be confused. Go to your Windows control panel and see how many times it comes up as a printer and remove all Graphtec or Wishblade printers. Then Go to Control panel again and use the Windows utility to Add/Remove programs and delete all versions of the Wishblade software program shown. Delete any desktop icons. Once you have it completely off your system then reload it.
Also it may be time for some basic Maintenance - Blow all debris out of the inside of the Wishblade with canned air. Clean the white rollers as they get adhesive on them from the cutting mat - you can use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip for cleaning al the rollers. Take your blade out and either replace it or gently clean it as well. If your cutting mat has many large cuts in it you need to replace that as well. Keep you cutting mat as clean as possible by leaving the yellow protective paper on it between uses and going over it with a tape/type lint roller.
Make sure your Wishblade is on a level surface and you don't have any cords or anything that bumps the cutting mat as it is going in and out of the Wishblade. Hope this helps!
