It says that it can't open the port. I have tried all of the port selections that I have and it won't work. I am so frustrated since now that I spent hours on the phone with the cable internet provider, the router people and the printer people, I can't use my wishblade again.gRRR I have the most current Creat and Cut software and I am using Windows 7. The new things are the router and the printer stuff. This is the first time that I have had a wireless printer so maybe that facotrs into it. Please help!!!!

Have you tried changing ports:

If you get the error message “Cannot Open Port” in Productions Manager,

First check the following:

1 The USB cable is plugged into your computer and your Wishblade.

2 The Wishblade is turned On (Blue button is illuminated)

3 The USB cable is plugged directly into the back of your computer and not into a USB hub or

keyboard port.

If you are still receiving the error this indicates that you may have a port conflict. Fixing a port conflict is as

simple as changing ports.

Changing Ports with Create and Cut Plus

4 Open Production Manager by clicking on it’s icon in the

Cut Plot menu or from your Desktop.

5 Right Click Xyron Wishblade from the lists of devices.

6 Select Change Port

7 The Change Port Dialog Loads

8 Click on the Scroll Down Menu to see the available ports.

Note: The list will vary depending on the USB ports available for

your computer.

9 Select a different port (such as USB 01)

10 Select Apply

11 Select OK

12 Do a test cut.

Also make sure you have a direct usb connection to the back of your computer. It cannot be plugged into a hub or router.
