No matter where I set the blade the paper does not cut straight.  I love the unit and the premise is great, but with only the clear bar to hold the paper by the time you reach the end of the page you are cutting, it pulls slightly and cuts crooked.  I thought maybe there was a lock position for the clear bar, but you simply must push it next to the bottom of the cutting units and hold it there.  I have tried holding the paper, putting slight pressure on the bar, etc.  Nothing seems to help.

I have toyed with the idea of getting another white unit for the opposite end of the bar to put on the other end of the paper you are cutting to possibly hold it in place like the one next to the handle.

Please any tips you might have would be welcomed.  I have watched the video many times and continue to do exactly as the gentleman says, but nothing seems to help.

Thank you for your assistance,
Carolyn

I am also having this problem.  I just purchased the machine and was looking forward to not having to hand cut pictures/backgrounds but alas, this machine does not cut straight so I am having to hand cut everything still.

Please make suggestions!!!

Thanks,

Erin

Carolyn,

I found this post...

Are Cutz guide wheels available to purchase separately?  I have the starter kit with the straight blade and the guide wheel.  I think some of my projects would go smoother if I had another guide wheel to help paper continue on a straight path.  I seem to only be able to find the guide wheels as part of the starter kit....

and the reply...

You can get these separately, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-793-3523 and they will help you.

Maybe we need to get a second guide wheel to solve the problem.  Hope this helps.

Yes you are correct - adding a Second guide wheel will dramatically help your situation.

Also, try moving the guide wheels around in different positions - I noticed I had better luck by simply moving the guide wheel slightly farther away from the cutting wheel.
