Just received PCS new in box. I assembled per instructions.
9 times out of 10 the paper on the cutting tray gets torn or pulls up from the cutting tray mat. Thinking my kids had used their fingers to remove cuts from mat and reduced the mat's stickiness, I replaced the adhesive mat (actually, I"ve done it four times now).
I tested the PCS and the cutting blade either tears the paper or pulls the paper off the mat, and the paper just moves around as the blade "makes the cut" on the sticky mat.
Please help! I would like my daughters to be able to use the PCS during their summer break.
The best solution to using the PCS with mats that do not stick is to put the 4 x 4" sheets through a Xyron Adhesive machine, preferably with repositionable adhesive. Then remove the backing and stick the paper on the mat. What's great about it is that once you're done cutting it already has adhesive on it so you can put the paper directly from the mat to your project.

Sandy, the cutting mats are sticking to the drawer. Also, the top surface of the mats are very sticky as well. It's just that 80 percent of the time the cutting blade lifts the paper off the cutting mat.
RE: your suggestion, I cannot find repositionable adhesive for the Xyron adhesive machine.
When the blade starts lifting and tearing it is usually a sign that you need a new blade. However, it that has happened since you purchased the blade then call us at tech support and we can help you further.
