Ungrouping Objects
Ungrouping shapes gives you more shapes to use.
-
Place the shape on your screen and make sure it is selected
-
Right click on the shape and chose Ungroup. It is best if you can
remove the color first. To do this, zoom in on the shape by clicking
the (magnifying tool) icon and scrolling to the spot where your shape
is located.
-
Then click on the general shape in different spots until you have a
shape that is surrounded by a blue box (if you have selected a line
the shape will have 4 squares in the corners and 4 arrows one one each
side).
-
Once the color is selected drag it off the shape and delete it.
-
Now you can select each part of the shape separately. You can select
and drag each piece somewhere else on the screen with your mouse. In
addition, you can size and copy each shape to fit the page you are
working on.
-
In our example, we ungrouped the flowers and leaves from the Flowers
Top Border in the Wishblade® Border Shape set and cut them for use on
a card.
